Designing Improvements to the York County School of Technology (YCST)
This project involved designing improvements to the York County School of Technology (YCST) parking lot and bus entrance. SDC used our extensive pavement design experience to maximize YCST’s budget. Allowing them to fix as many driveways and parking areas as possible. This work remained completed on an aggressive schedule so that construction could begin in early summer and remain completed in time for the new school year.
The project included the design, bidding, and construction phase services necessary to rehabilitate the existing YCST parking lot and the school’s access units. SDC consulted closely with the school to mention. Different solutions used for other areas based on existing use and original construction. It allowed YCST to maximize its limited budget to fix as much paving area as possible.
